English Language & Citizenship

We are dedicated to helping individuals improve their English skills, whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your language abilities. Our classes are designed to support learners of all backgrounds in developing reading, writing, speaking, and listening skills to confidently communicate in everyday life and work.
E.S.O.L. classes are at no cost and open to the public! You are more than welcome to start the class anytime. Library cards are not required to attend classes.

Hart Memorial Library
E.S.O.L. for Beginners
- 7pm, every Tuesday
- Become more familiar with the English language. Taught by a certified instructor in partnership with the Adult Literacy League.
Buenaventura Lakes Library

- 6pm, every Thursday
- Become more familiar with the English language. Taught by an Osceola Library Adult Services Librarian Intern.
Poinciana Library
Conversational Spanish
- 3pm, First Friday of the month
- Engage with other speakers to practice your Spanish and improve your confidence and vocabulary. Basic Spanish skills required. Taught by an Osceola Library Adult Services Librarian Intern.

Citizenship Class
Whether you are just starting or need help with specific areas, we’re here to guide you every step of the way into becoming a U.S. citizen.
Starting in January 2025, the Hart Memorial Library will be hosting a Citizenship Class where you learn how to become a U.S. citizen and prepare for the citizenship interview and test.
This class will take place from 5:30pm-6:30pm, every Tuesday.
The U.S. Citizenship Class is at no cost and open to the public! A library card is not required to attend the class.
