Volunteers play an important role as partners in the Library's mission.

Volunteers are always needed, and appreciated, in various areas of the Library. Volunteers play an important role as partners in the Library's mission and helping to enrich the customer's enjoyment of the Library. We look forward to having you join us!

Examples of ways to Volunteer

  • Shelving and arranging books
  • Provide basic training and user assistance for public computer resources
  • Assist youth services during programs
  • Outreach/Special Programs and Events

Other opportunities to volunteer are also available through the Friends of the Public Library.

Becoming a Volunteer

Volunteers must be at least 18 years of age. Please fill out the Osceola County Volunteer Application and return the form to your nearest library or mail it to:

If you appear to meet the job requirements, your application will be given to a Staff Supervisor who will contact you to set up an interview.

When you become a volunteer, the Volunteer Coordinator will provide proper training.
