Meet Our Youth Staff

Our dedicated Youth Team provides regularly scheduled fun and educational storytimes and programs throughout the year.

Sara Turner, Youth Services Manager

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Sara loves when storytimes and youth programs spark the imagination of children, teens, and their families. Her goal is to inspire learning for life through stories, books, and hands-on activities. Sara holds a Master's Degree in Anthropology and has over 10 years of experience in youth education, teaching all ages from preschool to high school. Contact her at sara.turner@osceolalibrary.org.


Buenaventura Lakes Library

Susan McCall, Youth Specialist

Susan has been a part of the Youth Team for over 10 years as a storyteller and facilitator for early reading in local preschools via the GROW outreach program. She enjoys visiting area preschools and bringing books to life, showing kids and adults that reading is fun! An advocate for early literacy, Susan’s motto is “Read early, read often." Hart Memorial Library

Jonathan Robbins, Youth Specialist

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Jonathan became the Youth Specialist for Hart Memorial Library in 2017. Story days are his absolute favorite days in the world, and he loves introducing children to books he loved as a kid. Jonathan is always ready to dance, sing a silly song, or read a story in a funny voice. When he's not at the Library, he's at home reading all the books he checks out! Poinciana Library

Michelle is originally from Missouri where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education. She has worked with children in all grades of elementary school and taught 5th and 6th grade for 14 years. St. Cloud Library

Crystal became the Youth Services Librarian at the St. Cloud Library in 2015. When she's in the Children's area, she can be found performing storytime, keeping the teens “un-bored”, or working out in those S(cience), T(echnology), E(ducation), A(rt), and M(ath) programs. West Osceola Library

Lisa taught elementary school for a total of 25 years after graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood and Elementary Education from Monmouth University in New Jersey. She has taught preschool to 4th grade and tutored students of all ages outside of school. Lisa graduated in 2009 with a Master's in Library and Information Science from Rutgers University.
