The Friends of the Library of Osceola County, FL, is comprised of citizens of this county who are interested and concerned with promoting the services of the Osceola County Public Library System. The group has filed an application for a 501(c)(3), to become a not-for-profit tax-exempt group. Anyone in the community may join for a small membership fee of five dollars ($5.00). The Friends of the Poinciana Branch Library meet the third Tuesday of each month, at 2:00 p.m., at the Poinciana Branch Library (September to May). The Friends sponsor two luncheons during the year, January and May. Mission Statement: To build a Partnership with the Library and the Community. Membership is open to all residents in Poinciana and surrounding communities. Yearly dues start at $5.00 with larger donations gladly accepted. West Osceola Friends of the Library, Inc. (WOFOL) is a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organiza-tion incorporated in April 2004, Registration Number: CH17598. The goal of WOFOL is to support the development of enhanced library services to the western side of Osceola County. The mission of this group is also to support literacy and volunteerism. The West Osceola Friends of the Library, Inc., serves the West Osceola area.
